New Book Coming!

My exciting news for 2017 is that I’m having a new book published about my work. The book, which will be out in April, will be hard cover and have 144 pages. It will feature over 100 of my linocuts, all in full colour, and will retail at £25. It will be stocked in selected galleries and bookshops and will be available to buy online.

The book’s publisher is Mascot Media, a Norfolk-based publisher which specialises in art books, especially about prints and printmakers and I’m thrilled they have chosen to work with me.

I will be signing the first copies off the press and if you would like to register your interest in one, you  can do so by leaving your details here.

I will also be having a few book launches in various places, so stay tuned to find out more!

Rare print…

I have a rare artist’s proof of my linocut ‘Going Underground’ in the Eames Fine Art Secret Bid Auction. The numbered edition sold out some time ago and this framed copy will be available to view (and to bid on!) during the evening of Wednesday 13 July 2016 and from then on until Sunday 17 July2016.

Going Underground

A day out at the seaside…

Had a lovely day out in Margate on Saturday – and thank you to everyone who came to hear my illustrated talk at Lombard Street Gallery.
I sincerely hope I didn’t witter on for too long – although the polite stampede at the finish for refreshments (aka The Wine) might have been a clue….
Anyway the exhibition (‘From The City to the Sea’ with Louise Davies) runs until 3rd April 2016….

Disappearing views of Battersea

I’ve just taken a proof of the first block of my new linocut – the view from the footbridge at Wandsworth Road train station, looking north towards the river.
I’ve been thinking about this one for a while now – I absolutely love these great sweeps of train tracks.
Sadly we won’t be able to see this view of Battersea Power Station for much longer as some much needed ‘luxury’ flats are being built all around the back of it, obscuring it forever.
London is changing so rapidly that between two of my sketching trips, they took down the gas holder. I sometimes feel I’m documenting a disappearing world…

Eames last chance

Last chance to catch my London linocuts at Eames Fine Art, including this one ‘City of Gold’. It ends today – Sunday 2nd August.
It’s a lovely gallery, just minutes from London Bridge Station – and it’s open from 12-5. Don’t miss it!
Details are here:http://thefineartpartnership.co.uk/events/view_event.cfm…
And if you can’t make it today, they always have a large selection of my work in stock at their Studio, around the corner from the gallery, in Tanner St., SE1….

Eames road show

Looking for something to do at the weekend? Well, why not come and share a glass of something cold with me at Eames Fine Art from 2-4 on Saturday 18th July? I’ll be showing a selection of my linocuts, including my two newest ones, ‘Right of Way’ and ‘From the Motorway’ (see below).
The gallery is very easy to get to, as it’s only a two minute walk from London Bridge Station (at 58 Bermondsey St., London SE1 3UD.)
You can find more details here:http://www.eamesfineart.com/events/view_event.cfm….
If you’ve met me before, you’ll know that I do like to have a chat – so hopefully I’ll see some of you there!
